When it’s about an hour before dinnertime and you still don’t know what to make, our pork steak will come to the rescue. Simply sprinkled with salt and pepper, it’s great on its own with your favorite side dishes. Or, slice it up and toss into a noodle bowl or stir-fry.

- Total time 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 MOINK pork steaks
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. freshly ground pepper
Cooking instructions
Cook according to one of the following methods.
In the oven:
- Arrange the oven rack 5 to 6 inches from the broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place in the oven and preheat the broiler. (Allowing the pan to heat up along with the oven ensures nice browning on the meat.)
- Rub the pork steaks with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Carefully remove the preheated pan from the oven and add the steaks.
- Broil for 6 to 8 minutes or until a meat thermometer registers 145°F.
- Let the steaks rest 5 minutes before serving.
On the grill:
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat until hot.
- Rub the steaks with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Grill, covered with the grill lid, 6 to 8 minutes, or until a meat thermometer registers 145°F.
- Let the steaks rest 5 minutes before serving.
On the stovetop:
- Heat the oil in a large skillet (we prefer cast-iron) over medium-high heat.
- Sprinkle the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Add the pork steaks to the pan and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until browned. Turn and cook 3 minutes longer or until a meat thermometer registers 145°F.
- Let the steaks rest 5 minutes before serving.
