Salt and Pepper Chicken Drumsticks

Need a quick supper solution? Follow one of these methods for cooking up chicken drumsticks in a flash. Serve on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce alongside rice or potatoes and steamed veggies.

  • Serves 4 to 6
  • Active time 5 minutes
  • Total time 25 to 40 minutes (depending on cooking method)

Ingredients

  • 2 packages MOINK chicken drumsticks (about 4 to 6 drumsticks per package)
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. freshly ground pepper

Cooking instructions

Thaw the chicken.

In the oven:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the chicken in a baking pan coated with cooking spray. Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted in the thickest portion registers 165°F.

On the grill:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat until hot. Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Grill, covered with the grill lid, 35 to 40 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted in the thickest portion registers 165°F.

On the stovetop:

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the pan, and brown on all sides.
  2. Cover and cook 25 to 30 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted in the thickest portion registers 165°F. Uncover during the last 3 minutes of cooking to crisp up the skin.
