It’s not Thanksgiving without the cranberry sauce. Right?! This tart and sweet homemade couldn’t be easier. Definitely serve it with your holiday turkey but feel free to add to a chicken breast, pork chop, or cheese board too.
- Makes about 2½ cups
- Total time 15 minutes (plus cooling time)
Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz.) bag fresh or frozen (thawed) cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. orange zest
- ¼ cup orange juice
Cooking instructions
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes, until the cranberries burst and the mixture is saucy. Let cool to room temperature. (The sauce will thicken as it stands.)
Great for poultry and pork.
