Not only is wild salmon delicious, but it’s so good for you, too. It’s rich in heart-healthy Omega-3 fatty acids, brain-boosting B vitamins, cancer-fighting antioxidants and immune-boosting Vitamin D. Plus, studies show eating wild salmon improves vision, skin, joint health, mood, cognition and the list goes on. It’s no wonder today’s leading health experts recommend eating this superfood at least once a week.

Some companies use a combo of Blue 1, Yellow 5, Yellow 6 and Red 40 dyes to keep their salmon looking bright pink. There is something fishy going on there!

Lighten Up With Keta Salmon
With summer in full swing, we’re all looking for a little lighter fare to help us beat the heat. Wild Keta, also known as Silverbite or Chum, contains less oil content than other species of salmon, giving it a lighter color and milder flavor. It’s also rich in nutrients like Selenium and Potassium. An extremely firm and high-quality salmon, Wild Keta can be smoked, grilled or roasted, and is perfect as a salad topper, in fish tacos and other light and festive summer dishes.
Go Big or Go Home with King Salmon
Ready for your daily dose of trivia? King Salmon, or Chinook, is the official state fish of Alaska. It’s also the biggest of all the Pacific salmon species, growing as long as 53 inches and weighing as much as 126 pounds! King Salmon can also swim upstream and jump nearly ten feet into the air. And with great size and power comes great flavor. King Salmon is bursting with beneficial fat, bright pink color and tender and juicy texture. Cook it in the oven, skillet, grill or smoker, or however your little heart desires. You’ll know your King Salmon is done when it turns a light pink color throughout and feels firm when pressed gently with the back of a fork. Or, don’t cook it at all and just have sushi! You can’t go wrong when you’re dealing with perfection!
