BACON-WRAPPED TERIYAKI WATER CHESTNUTS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound of Moink box Pasture-raised Bacon
  • 2- 8oz cans of whole water chestnuts
  • 1- 10oz bottle of teriyaki sauce of choice {I used low sodium Kikkoman}
  • *optional: soaked toothpicks for baking

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain both cans of water chestnuts. Place the water chestnuts into a bowl.
  2. Empty the entire bottle of teriyaki sauce to the bowl with the water chestnuts to marinade overnight or for at least 4 hours.
  3. When you’re ready to bake, preheat oven to 375.
  4. While oven is preheating: cut the package of bacon in half right down the middle. Start wrapping the water chestnuts with one of the halves of bacon.
  5. Place bacon-wrapped water chestnuts on a baking sheet, seam-side down. * If they don’t hold, feel free to use toothpicks. Just make sure they have soaked in water for an hour so they don’t get burned.
  6. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minute until the bacon gets crispy. May set on the broiler for the last minute for extra crispiness. Serve on a platter for your next party, enjoy!
